Here is a list of common questions that you may have.

  • What product/service are Stop Eviction selling?
    • The service that we are selling is the 2 step solution, we assess your criteria by you filling out the 'Apply Online' application form. If successful we will buy your property from you.
  • When should I contact Stop Eviction?
    • Please contact us at as soon as possible. Do not leave this too late, you are under no obligation to use our service once you fill in the 'Apply Online' application form. If you have left it too late we will endeavour to persuade the lender to let us intervene, however there is no guarantee that we will get a positive outcome if this is all left to the last minute. Our process, from you filling out the 'Apply Online' application form to us surveying the house and buying it will take between 7 to 28 days in total. So act now fill in the 'Apply Online' application form.
  • Where is the Stop Eviction phone number?
    • Our telephone number is 0845 4 751 753
      Opening hours are between 9am-6pm Monday to Friday.
      (If you ring outside these times please leave your name and phone number and we will be in touch within 24 hours)
  • How does Stop Eviction work out who is accepted?
    • The calculator has a formula which we can not discussed as it might hinder the way that the 'Apply Online' application form is filled out. We do know that it takes all the information you have entered to give a very scientific result if you can be helped or not.
  • What happens once I fill in the 'Apply Online' application form?
    • Once you fill in the 'Apply Online' application form you will get one of 3 decisions, GREEN, AMBER or RED. This highlights the outcome of the decision. The Green status means that we can help you (based on the information you have given) and we can buy your property. Amber status means that we may be able to help you (based on the information you have given) . We may require a consultation and come to an agreement. Red status means that we cannot help you as you have not met the criteria.
      Each of these 3 statuses are explained in full for each decision reached. The next step for status green and amber would be to enter a few more details and then we will contact you to arrange a consultation.
  • Am I bound by any agreements once I fill out the 'Apply Online' application form?
    • When you fill the application via the 'Apply Online' application form and have a instant online decision. (status: Red, Amber or Green) you are not bound to any agreements. We will arrange an appointment with yourselves and then discuss the requirements and what we can offer. At this point you still are not bound by an agreements and if you are not happy you free to walk away.
  • How do I find out the value of my house?
    • Please get in touch with your local estate agent to arrange a valuation of your home. This valuation should take into account the condition of your home and should be based on the current market value.
  • Please explain status - GREEN, AMBER and RED
    • Status Green means that based on the information you have provided we are in a position to buy your property from you
      Status Amber means that based on the information you have provided we may be in a position to buy your property from you, however we may need to have a consultation.
      Status Red means that based on the information that you have provided we are not in a position to help you.
  • What should I do if the status is RED?
    • We would suggest approaching your lender and then secondly approaching the citizens advice beurea.
  • Will Stop Eviction buy my house?
    • Yes if you successfully meet our criteria and we agree on the purchase price.
  • At what price will Stop Eviction buy my house for?
    • We will buy your house from you up to 85% of its current market value. This figure depends on your mortgage, any secured loans on the property and the condition of your house. We can offer is a consultation where we can discuss this with you further and come to an agreement.
  • Can I negotiate on the price Stop Eviction buys my house for?
    • When we have a consultation with yourselves we will discuss and negotiate a purchase price on your property and come to an agreement.
  • What happens if I do not agree to the price Stop Eviction are offering for my house?
    • If you are unhappy with the value we are offering for your property then you are free to walk away or take some time to consider the options and get back to us within 14 days.
  • Will Stop Eviction pay off my personal debt?
    • Stop Eviction WILL NOT 'negotiate with the creditor or owner, on behalf of the debtor or hirer, terms for the discharge of a debt, or taking over, in return for payments by the debtor or hirer, his obligation to discharge a debt, or any similar activity concerned with the liquidation of a debt', in relation to debts due under consumer credit agreements or consumer hire agreements. Stop Eviction WILL NOT participate, conduct or offer advice on debt-counselling (defined as) 'the giving of advice to debtors or hirers about the liquidation of debts due under consumer credit agreements or consumer hire agreements'. We will need to do a valuation on your property and then have a consultation with yourselves. Subject to the outcome of this consultation we will do our best to come to a purchase price agreement so that you have surplus cash to pay off your personal debt.
  • What happens if the information I have given is incorrect?
    • If the information that you have provided us is incorrect then your application will be void. We will not be taking your application any further.
  • Will Stop Eviction allow me to stay in my own property after the sale?
    • Stop Eviction does NOT operate a SELL AND RENT BACK scheme. Therefore once you have sold your home to us we will expect you to move out.
  • Will Stop Eviction let me buy my house back?
    • No, once your house is sold we are under no obligation to sell it back to you.
  • How is Stop Eviction different to other companies?
    • We are different in many ways. We do not want you to re-mortgage as that will put you in further debt. We want to buy your house, pay off your mortgage and and debt. We are different because we care about you.
  • Can I recommend Stop Eviction to a friend?
    • We would be happy for you to suggest us to any friends or family that could use some help.
  • How do I contact Stop Eviction if I have a question or my situation changes?
    • Please use the 'contact us' page to send us any questions and once you have filled in the 'Apply Online' application form we will send you an email with our phone number. You can contact us via email 24hrs a day 7 days a week. The phone number will be answered from 9am to 6pm 5 days a week. If you ring outside the times you can leave a voice message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • Can I at anytime cancel or end our agreement?
    • You can end our agreement so long as we have not exchanged contracts or instructed an surveyors or solicitors. If we have exchanged contracts or initiated any enquiries on your property (solicitors, surveyors, etc) then you will be responsible to pay all our legal costs as well as yours.
  • Will anyone know that i am selling my house to you?
    • No, our whole process is very discreet and this agreement will be be between us and no one needs to know.
